Nigerian Airspace Finally Opens For Domestic Flights

After about 3months, 1 week and 3days of closure of Nigerian airspace for passenger operation due to covid-19 pandemic, the airspace was finally re-opened for domestic passenger flight and airlines such as Arik, Aero Contractors, Air Peace, Azman Air, Dana Air, Ibom Air, Max Air and Overland Airways received thumps up from the Nigeria CAA to restart operation.

Airports such as Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport, domestic wing Abuja and Murtala Mohammed International Airporrt, terminal 2 (MMA2) and General Aviation terminal (GAT) Lagos were the first to reopen on 8th July 2020, while Port Harcourt international Airport, domestic wing, , Sam Mbakwe Cargo International Airport Owerri, domestic wing, Mallam Aminu Kano international Airport Kano domestic terminal and Maiduguri International airport, domesdic terminal followed suit on Saturday, 11th July 2020.
